Tuesday Announcements 2/9/2010

Attention students and staff: Vending machines within the school are to be used at your own risk. These vending machines are not the property of LHS and the finance office will not give refunds if a machine malfunctions.

Spring sports athletes: Remember that you have to have a sports physical every two years, if you are due for one or need your first one, the athletics department is offering $25 sports physicals on Saturday, February 20th. See Mrs. Stolsig in the Athletics Department for an appointment. Remember you have to have a current physical to be able to practice and spring sports sign ups have already started.

There will be a writer's club meeting today from 3:30 to 4:30 in room 210.

A small group of students will be going to Linn-Benton Community College on February 16 to observe nursing program simulations and tour the campus. If Mrs. Burd hasn't already spoken to you about the field trip and you are interested in going, please stop by the eConnections Room to talk to her.

Attention Senior Art Students: Western Oregon University has $20,000 in art scholarships. Registration forms for the March 6 Portfolio Review Day are due by February 25. For additional information, please see Mrs. Burd in the eConnections Room.

A Careers In Science Investigation event for 7th - 12th grade students will be held at Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport on April 16. Pre-registration is required by April 9. For additional information, please see Mrs. Burd in the eConnections Room.
